Student Blogging Challenge Evaluation

This is the last week of the Student Blogging Challenge (Week 10so we will be evaluating our Blogs.

Registration: Is two weeks early enough for registration to begin before the first challenge?

I think 2 weeks is enough time to register for the challenge because it gives us time to register and get ready for the first challenge.

Subscription: Did you subscribe by RSS or email in order to get the posts as soon as they were published?

I suscribed by e-mail so I could find out what to do for the week sooner. I also did check the Challenge on the blog too.

Student and class participants: How useful are these pages in the header of the blogging challenge?

I found these helpful because I could visit other peoples blogs who were in the challenge and I could also visit previous participants blogs.

More Questions

Did you visit the actual challenge on the blog each week or did your teacher have a post on your class blog?

I subscribed to the blog but I still visited the blog to remember.

What would be some other topics you would like included in future challenges?

I would of liked if they included a challenge where we could put a post on about one of our pieces of work  because that would have been really fun.

Are more tutorial type challenges needed? eg how to make a link in your post?

I think the the challenges were fine, in a few challenges it would have been good but other than that it was fine

Were the ‘Visit these’ posts useful?

Yes. It gave me some ideas on what I could do for the challenge

Were the challenges where you had to embed ie polls, cartoons, wallwisher etc interesting or could you not embed due to being a free Edublogs blog or a blogging platform that didn’t allow embedding?

I found them interesting because it was more fun and interactive than just reading a post.

Were there enough chances to visit blogs from overseas and make links with other students/classes?

There were some times where we had to visit other blogs from the challenge but other than that there were only a few times where we got to visit other blogs.
